Gaisberg cross-country skiing trail
The cross-country skiing trail is operated by the association for the promotion of winter sports on the Gaisberg. It is located on a sunny high plateau only ten minutes away from the city of Salzburg. Depending on the snow conditions, the cross-country trail is between 3 km and 5 km long. It is ideal for beginners. Classical and skating operation depending on snow and weather conditions. The use is free of charge and at your own risk.
How to get there: Access via Elsbethen-Glasenbach, Schwaitl-Landesstraße, take the Vorderfager turnoff towards Gaisbergspitze-Gasthof Mitteregg. The entrance is at the Kriechbaumgut parking lot. The parking fee is € 4,-- and has to be paid at the entrance.
Night cross-country skiing is not permitted due to game and safety.
