Zeller See

The Zeller lake was named after the town of Zell am See and is located in Pinzgau in Salzburg. It is 3.8 km long and up to 1.5 km wide and was built at the end of the last ice age.

The current size of the lake is only a remnant of the original water surface. Originally he was from Saalfelden (north) to a part of the Salzach valley (south). Lake Zell is framed on its long sides by high mountains (Schmitt height and Hundstein). What are some of the Salzburg Slate Alps.

The crystal clear water and stunning scenery make him to a popular tourist destination.
