In 1891 the last passengership traveled on the Salzach river. Since the year 2002, travel has once again resumed on the river.

From mid-April to mid-October you can not only enjoy the beauty of the city of Salzburg and its sorroundings with the "Amadeus Salzburg" of the Salzburg City Cruise Line as one of the highlights of your Salzburg visit, but you can enjoy the cruise on the "Amadeus Salzburg" as a highlight all of its own.

All of the tours lead out of the city, past imposing villas, up to the "Überfuhr" footbridge and on the return trip wonderful sights of the city will once again unfold before your eyes.

The "Amadeus Salzburg" ...

... has been specially designed and constructed out of aluminum and has a seating capacity for 68. The special design is unique worldwide. It has a draft of only 38 centimeters. With an output of over 700 horsepower it can reach speeds of up to 50 kilometers (31 miles) an hour.
