The complex consists of 2 pools, each 21x33.3 meters in size.
Additionally, there is a 45 m2 children’s pool and a 12 m2 wading basin. Table tennis, board games and volleyball courts are available now that a roof was built over the outdoor ice skating rink.
The pool can be reached by city buses numbers 6, 7 and 20. It is also easily accessed from the network of bike paths.
In addition to the regular hours of operation, management intends to reintroduce night swimming again this summer.
The Volksgarten pool is the oldest heated open-air pool in the city of Salzburg. It opened with great fanfare in 1892, and after numerous renovations, has grown from a typical pool to a swimming complex with modern technology. However, the building in the original portion of the complex has been maintained in its original form.
