The "Adventsingen" is a traditional Adventplay that takes place in the weeks before Christmas. It is a mixture between folk music and a nativity play. The young and the young at heart make music together or act like movie stars in “Hirtenspielen”.
There is the "Salzburger Adventsingen" in the "Festspielhaus Salzburg" every year, but also a lot of "Adventsingen" in the country all around the city. This variety shows the citizens proud of their very old culture. The following short-movie shows cutouts of the event "Advent aus dem Salzburger Land".
