Visitor Center Bischofshofen UNESCO Global Geopark

The visitor center at the Bischofshofener Schanzengelände is the central starting point of the UNESCO Geo Park and was implemented as a joint project sponsored by INTERREG with the Mammut Museum Siegsdorf. The participating locations present themselves in a joint exhibition with true-to-life facilities around the mining of ore and thus make the topic an extraordinary and "tangible" experience.

The fact that history does not have to be boring is already proven by the new visitor center in the hillside area of Bischofshofen. Right next to the world famous Paul Ausserleitner ski jump and attached to the original Austrian house of the 2006 Winter Olympics, visitors can expect an exciting overview of the entire Geo Park with all its attractions such as geo sites, mines, show tunnels and museums.
