Marionette Museum

The enchanting Marionettes in the Prince’s Cellar (which in itself is worth a look) of the Fortress Hohensalzburg will amaze you and your family. Many Historical marionettes of the World famous Salzburg Marionette Theater are on display here. You will be able to see Papageno and Papagena from Mozart’s Magic Flute, Marionettes that have already appeared at the Salzburg Festivals. They are joined by valuable exhibits from all over Europe and parts of Asia.

Your skills in the art of puppetry are also requested. Try your hand at Marionette manipulation. This experience will stay with you for a long time as the little figures come to life in your hands and perform merry dances.
